Thoughts, Meditations of the Heart, Poems

then sprouts a tiny root, then grows a massive tree

Moving poem that speaks to me of forgiveness and spiritual growth in God; leaving old dead things behind, overcoming and allowing the seed of faith to grow into a massive tree is wonderful imagery. Blessed by it!

traversing—

i left a past of bones
the marrow came
at the waves of skeptics
shaking, harmonizing
the doubts slowly fade

then sprouts a tiny root
then grows a massive tree

faith i’ve found
hurt i’ve pardoned
history marked
a pang and past
shaking, harmonizing
the conquest is known

then sprouts a tiny root
then grows a massive tree
