Precious Day

My Garden

Precious day
Flowers bright
Pink nosegay
Violet delight

Hazy sky
Streaks of cloud
Bird up high
Chime tinkling loud

Breezy warmth
Sun breaks through
Butterfly charm
Bright yellow hue

Peace abounds
God’s presence near
Comforting sounds
Surround my garden chair

Hummingbird twitter
Buzzing bees
Mockingbird natter
Creaking trees

I praise You my God
Lifting hands to pray
Your goodness abounds
What a glorious day!
