Hot Day
Hot all day
So VERY hot
Temps soared
Way past 100
Perspiration
A soaking event
All work outside
Exhausting
Labored breath
So hard to breathe
Air stale
Such humid heat
Shade
No relief
Breeze
Barely existent
Sunset
Brought no relief
At nine
Still over 90
Then a shift
Sudden change
A wind
Blowing steady
Coolness
Refreshing north stream
Relief
For the weary
Washed away
All tiredness
New life
Revived energy
Thanking God
For that wind
Erases life’s trials
His Peace received!
