Thoughts, Meditations of the Heart, Poems

About

Welcome to my poetry blog!

Many people tell me they enjoy the poems found here. What joy it is to know someone’s day was cheered! Some folks have asked what inspires me and how I write. That’s easy to answer. All the poems stream out my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who has reconciled me to Father God and who has poured out His Spirit upon me. After reading the Bible, worshiping Him or praying, or sitting in the surroundings of my garden, I often hear in my heart songs and portions of poetry. I record in my journal what I hear from the Holy Spirit of God (who is the One here on earth that speaks to our souls). These bits and pieces, treasures out of Heaven, are the stuff of which the poems are made.

A few poems well up out of my heart as praise, to thank, or express love to my Lord and Savior. At times an entire poem simply pours out of my heart onto the paper. Other times the poem takes form over a week, a month or even over the course of a year. One of my favorites is The Wind.

The articles on my Notes from Heaven blog are a collection written over the course of many years. Some are Biblical teaching, some personal experiences and testimony to God’s love and grace, others are prophetic insights for the followers of the Lord Jesus Christ that I received during prayer or worship services.

My heart is that all I write, poem or article, is a blessing to those who read it and that the meditations draw each reader to the heart of God.

This Spring my first novel will be published, called Thatcher. It’s the first in an inspirational fantasy trilogy. You may wish to also visit my website, Cheryl Birch-Author, to learn more about the series and sign up for my e-letter and notices when books become available.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Blessings of Joy and Peace to you and yours,

Cheryl
