While I was in my garden I started thinking about and praying for all of us who are aging and/or not well during this very trying time and this poem of encouragement poured into my heart. May it bless you!
What used to be red
Now rusty orange
Leaning on shed
Looking forlorn
Wooden handles gray
Weathered and worn
Stuck in weedy fray
Front wheel torn
Once useful and new
Now broken and spent
Like a life view
On getting old and bent
Good News abounds
New wheel, some paint
Wheel barrow rebounds
Was junk, now ain’t
No matter your age
Or physical condition
God’s promise fills your page
With opportunity and provision
So take heart aging one
He’s got plans for you
Cling fast to His Son
Your life He will renew!
