Hope

All was bleak
Despondent, darkness everywhere
Only heard depression speak
My pleas to God--total despair

Your kingdom is joy and peace
Why do I have none?
Crushing oppression doesn't cease
Where are the promises of your Son?

Hope--Where has it gone?
Faith is draining slowly away
My soul cries out, I'm undone
Lord God please help me pray

Then I hear
I love you, child
No need to fear
You're just tired

Start leaning on Me
Not your own strength or ability
I've already set you free
Rely on MY creativity

Mercy removed the sadness dart
Grace healed my fearful wound
Gladness filled my heart
Drenched me with gratitude

Chains of hopelessness break
Such liberty! I'm truly free!
I made a horrible mistake
My God would NEVER abandon me

Kiss of Pink Love

Barely a breeze
All is quiet
Morning has come
To my garden island

Green in abundance
Shadows and sun
Birds are stirring
Beetle on the run

Heaven so blue
Cloudless sky
Alone with my God
To Him I cry

"Heal my heart
Take away this pain
Such beauty around me
Tells me you can"

My eyes rest on flowers
They smile and wave
A kiss of pink love
From Jesus who saves

Such joy fills my soul
Heaviness vanished
It will all work out
Sadness is vanquished

In Him, I Win

goldenpeachsunrise

It’s morning
Sunrise was golden peach
Still I’m frowning
Incessant pain’s no treat

Though days are lovely
They are hard
Surrounded by beauty
Can’t enjoy it, I’m marred

Shed lots of tears
Begged God for healing
Lived in fears
Emotions reeling

It’s hard to trust
That God has a plan
But, trust Him I must
So little help from man

Another day dawn
Hope on the horizon
He’s keeping me strong
My heart beats on

Out of the blue
Peace encompassed me
Jesus’ love sure and true
Poured out bountifully

I won’t give up
Nor will I give in
My God holds me up
In HIM I win!

Aging One

IMG_20200416_105133015_HDR

While I was in my garden I started thinking about and praying for all of us who are aging and/or not well during this very trying time and this poem of encouragement poured into my heart. May it bless you!

What used to be red
Now rusty orange
Leaning on shed
Looking forlorn

Wooden handles gray
Weathered and worn
Stuck in weedy fray
Front wheel torn

Once useful and new
Now broken and spent
Like a life view
On getting old and bent

Good News abounds
New wheel, some paint
Wheel barrow rebounds
Was junk, now ain’t

No matter your age
Or physical condition
God’s promise fills your page
With opportunity and provision

So take heart aging one
He’s got plans for you
Cling fast to His Son
Your life He will renew!

You Will See

believe image 2.jpg

Your destiny awaits you
No more isolation
Ask Me for inspiration
This change is overdue

Darkness cannot win!
My Light has overcome
Grab hold of My Son
He will calm the din

I will renew you
Strength is returning
Hope is restoring
There is much to do!

Many need you
The words will flow
Stay humble, bow low
For hundreds; for the few

Hang on to Me
Worry not; don’t fear
I’m always near
Believe and you will see!

Sunrise

Rays of golden fringed pink
Breakthrough the darkest blue
Stars fade managing a last twink
The sky transforms, now a radiant hue

Still the source is hidden
Creation holds its breath
There! The sun fills the horizon
A promise of hope is birthed

The love of God envelopes earth
His peace fills accepting hearts
Look up and know your worth
Each dawn is for your restart

Black night now gone
The breeze refreshing and fair
Listen to the bird song
Rejoice, your New Day is here!

Walk Through!

A precious door closed yesterday
The past is now shut tight
I'm not sure of my way
But, the Lord's assurance is my light

Sitting in my garden chair
I pondered "Has my future died?"
A Wind, a strong puff of air
Opened my garden gate very wide

Heaven suddenly touched my thought
"I've opened a door wide for you!"
Such excitement my heart caught
"Be Brave! Be Bold! Walk through!"

Place Called Hope

When life becomes dark
Gloom of pain overtakes
All seems sterile and stark
Surrounded with heartbreaks

There is a place called hope
Found in One who's true
He's at the end of our rope
By faith He pulls us through

After sadness rain for days
Comes His air so clean, so fresh
Warmth of Jesus sunny rays
Relieve a heart depressed

Joy displaces void and bleakness
Angelic hosts decimate what's hard
His love's strength devours weakness
Peace mounts up a holy guard

JOY!

JoyPoem

Never Give Up

Never-give-up-on-your-dream

Never give up, no never!
There is always hope in Christ Jesus.
Never give up, no never!
From trial and pain He has saved us.

Trust and believe, do it daily.
Crooked places are made straight.
Trust and believe, do it daily.
Darkness flees, fears abate.

Look to heaven, receive God’s love.
Healing balm will pour out to you.
Look to heaven, receive God’s love.
All that you are will be made new.

Never give up, no never!
Get up – Awaken – Get going!
Never give up, no never
Your divine destiny is glowing.
