In Him, I Win

goldenpeachsunrise

It’s morning
Sunrise was golden peach
Still I’m frowning
Incessant pain’s no treat

Though days are lovely
They are hard
Surrounded by beauty
Can’t enjoy it, I’m marred

Shed lots of tears
Begged God for healing
Lived in fears
Emotions reeling

It’s hard to trust
That God has a plan
But, trust Him I must
So little help from man

Another day dawn
Hope on the horizon
He’s keeping me strong
My heart beats on

Out of the blue
Peace encompassed me
Jesus’ love sure and true
Poured out bountifully

I won’t give up
Nor will I give in
My God holds me up
In HIM I win!

In Troubles

storm-peace-grassland

Sharing a conversation of prayer I had with the Lord God a couple of weeks ago regarding the times we are experiencing. Today I felt like it was appropriate to post it as it is not only for me, it is for all who believe. May it bless you!

Give me peace, Lord
He answered: Yes
Give me hope and joy, Lord
He answered: Yes

Give me your best, Lord
He answered: Yes
Help me to please you, Lord
He answered: Yes

Help me to be holy, Lord
He answered: Yes
Give me a trusting heart, Lord
He answered: Yes

Help me to believe, Lord
He answered: Yes
Calm my fears, Lord
He answered: Yes

Never leave me, Lord
He answered: Yes
Always provide for me, Lord
He answered: Yes

Take away all troubles, Lord
He answered: NO!
In troubles you will seek Me
I will be there for you always

In troubles you will lean on Me
I will hold you up
In troubles you will open your heart
I will transform you

In troubles you will learn humility
I will strengthen you and lift you up
In troubles you will learn from Me
I will teach you

In troubles you will seek My Heart
I will make you My vessel of charity and love
You will be mine and I will be yours
Many will know Me through you

From my Garden Chair

IMG_20200419_121248894_HDR

Aerial dispute
Raucous bird racket
Morning dove coo
Fly by yellow jacket

Peace returns
Grosbeak distant song
Hummingbird churns
Wind blows strong

Tiny bug crawls by
Lizard on the run
Sparrow flies the sky
Sun sure feels warm

No day is boring
In my garden retreat
My Joy is soaring
As I sit at Jesus’ feet

Aging One

IMG_20200416_105133015_HDR

While I was in my garden I started thinking about and praying for all of us who are aging and/or not well during this very trying time and this poem of encouragement poured into my heart. May it bless you!

What used to be red
Now rusty orange
Leaning on shed
Looking forlorn

Wooden handles gray
Weathered and worn
Stuck in weedy fray
Front wheel torn

Once useful and new
Now broken and spent
Like a life view
On getting old and bent

Good News abounds
New wheel, some paint
Wheel barrow rebounds
Was junk, now ain’t

No matter your age
Or physical condition
God’s promise fills your page
With opportunity and provision

So take heart aging one
He’s got plans for you
Cling fast to His Son
Your life He will renew!

Justice is His Name

Justice.jpg

He’s a lover of righteousness
Justice is His Name
He defends the poor and fatherless
Mercy is His fame

The work of His hand is verity
His judgments and precepts are sure
He rules with love and charity
His ways are holy and pure

The evil one He vanquishes
The poor and the needy relieved
Heaviness of heart vanishes
In His presence oppression flees

Come to the One who is all Truth
Adventurous journey awaits
He is of magnificent worth
As Joy in our heart He creates

You Will See

believe image 2.jpg

Your destiny awaits you
No more isolation
Ask Me for inspiration
This change is overdue

Darkness cannot win!
My Light has overcome
Grab hold of My Son
He will calm the din

I will renew you
Strength is returning
Hope is restoring
There is much to do!

Many need you
The words will flow
Stay humble, bow low
For hundreds; for the few

Hang on to Me
Worry not; don’t fear
I’m always near
Believe and you will see!

How Wide?

Rio_de_Janeiro,_Christ_the_Redeemer.jpg

As I was praying I heard these wonderful words pour into my heart:

How high? How deep?
How wide is My
Love for you?

Eternity cannot hold it
It flows freely
every day
Step into My arms
I adore you!
Let Me show you My
Loving way

How high? How deep?
How wide is My
Love for you?

Look to the cross and
See the sacrifice I made
My blood a gift
So we could be ONE.
I Promise My love
Will never fade.

My love for you
Will never ever fade.
I love you
I really really do!

Golden Rain

Such a beautiful face
Drenched with forgiving grace
Eyes dripping with love
Compassion holds me like a glove

A vision beyond this earth
He’s of magnificent worth
Gentle yet bold; full of power
He’s my shelter and strong tower

All creation bows in reverence
Perfect holiness is His countenance
Wonders of mercy pour out to me
I’m surrounded by a peace-filled sea

How I long to stay here all day
But Life interrupts in a jolting way
Tomorrow I’ll join Him once again
In glorious moments of golden rain

Waves of Grace

IMG_20141112_155208_760

Within my heart resides One who is brave
He’s stronger than my selfish way
Whenever my flesh begins to fail
His Wind suddenly fills my sail

Nothing I’ve done deserves such favor
Still He pours out love from His laver
To sooth my shattered broken soul
Waves of grace wash and make me whole

Though I thought I did everything wrong
He fills my heart with joyous song
The painful test was not one of perfection
But a revelation of His affection!

Joy Abounding

summer-flower-garden-picture

Collapsed into my garden chair
Melancholy wrapped my heart
I cried out: Life’s unfair!
But, gray despair would not depart

More than sunshine met me there
Warmth flooded the depths of my soul
Sadness ran as did every care
Rays of Love’s Light made me whole

Clouds of fear evaporated
Joy arrived abounding
Oppression vanquished; annihilated
Healing touch astounding

Bird song now more lovely than ever
Garden glows with color
Beautiful gifts from the Life Giver
Thank you God of Wonder!
