His Lavish Scenery

Rocking in my garden chair
Kitty comes to visit
Day is breezy and fair
Spring has burst it’s prison

Rhaphiolepis lift up pink heads
Orange trees are in bloom
Green sprouts dot new flower beds
Flying bugs dart and zoom

Sunshine fills a cloudless sky
My heart warms from within
God’s faithfulness to you and I
His gifts abound despite our sin

Such beauty all around
Every day a new adventure
Stunning views, colors astound
His love pours out of nature

Join me in His greenery
Among the swaying trees
Breathe in His lavish scenery
Sit humbly at His knees.

Joy Drenches

And then I saw a hummingbird
Darting - Diving - Hovering
Interested in a camellia bud
Brilliant pink in green covering

Just beyond, geraniums stand
Red bursts of bloom
Seem to hold hands
Next to a purple lily plume

Spring winds toss the bushes
Trees still bare sway
Greenish buds on their branches
Promise many a warm day

How I love my garden
Such life and hope is there
Sitting amongst God's creation
Joy drenches my garden chair

A Bird’s Day

Twitters and flutters
Soaring and flying
Darting hoppers
Jumping and fighting

Eyeing Bugs
Splashing in waters
Pecking at slugs
Fence top squatters

Busy beauty
Colorful wings
Nesting duty
Joyfully sings

Thanking God
With amazement
Must applaud
Such grand entertainment!

Glorious Day

clouds-gray and blue

Sitting in my garden
Comfy chair, alone
Cup of tea started
Nice to be at home

Sunny, even hot
Then clouds roll in
Makes a chilly spot
Wind chimes spin

Branches bounce
Flowers dance
Bird calls once
Shrubs sway and prance

Gray and blue fight it out
Breeze cold strong but dies
Go inside or sit in doubt?
Can’t tell by the skies

Suddenly sun wins
Glorious Day!
Praise God, Praise Him
I think I’ll stay!

Season of Heavenly Treasure

Angry leaves fight the wind
Many lose the battle
Ripped from their branch
They sail, swirl, and rattle

Nonetheless, there’s great beauty
As they gather on the ground
Colorful array of shapes
Rusty orange, yellow and brown

The trees sway back and forth
Trying to hold onto to summer
But, autumn has taken hold
Green gives way to umber

All nature offers God resplendent glory
Boldly reflecting His pleasure
Golden transformation everywhere
Season of heavenly treasure

Golden Rain

Such a beautiful face
Drenched with forgiving grace
Eyes dripping with love
Compassion holds me like a glove

A vision beyond this earth
He’s of magnificent worth
Gentle yet bold; full of power
He’s my shelter and strong tower

All creation bows in reverence
Perfect holiness is His countenance
Wonders of mercy pour out to me
I’m surrounded by a peace-filled sea

How I long to stay here all day
But Life interrupts in a jolting way
Tomorrow I’ll join Him once again
In glorious moments of golden rain

Lacy Autumn Shadows

IMG_20171022_151838629

Tall stand of gold
Shorter clump of burgundy
Burst of orange, bright and bold
Surrounds an old dead tree

Its branches barren
Still reaching for the sky
Beaten, weathered, worn
Trunk blackened, gray and dry

Encompassed by such beauty
A lavish Autumn color-fest
Standing guard its apparent duty
Starkness its stunning crest

The explosion of Fall hues
Overwhelms the forest soldier
Wind strong, creeks its bows
Branch crashes just past my shoulder

Leaves rustle and swirl at my feet
A dance of yellow and brown
Sun peeks out warming my seat
On the bench below its crown

There I find a place of rest
In the lacy shadows of that tree
Talking to my Lord God of Grace
I’m safe, calm, loved and free!

Autumn Peeking

Treebeginngtoturn

Sun hangs in the sky so low
Even high noon seems a bit less bright
Trees display a rusty green glow
Flowers look like they’ve been in a fight

Nights are cool, mornings brisk
Warm afternoons still linger
Flocks of birds won’t take a risk
Mount up in flight sensing winter

Autumn peeking out more each day
Can’t hide behind summer any longer
Soon she will burst; a colorful display
A God-given golden orange wonder!

Day is Awakened

Moon-waning-gibbous-in-daytime-Aug5_2015SS.jpg

Beauty of that sliver of moon
Soft white against the pre-morning sky
Lovely azure turning clear blue too soon
Echoes of a mourning dove’s cry

Silence that wraps like a soft blanket
Interrupted by a cat’s meow
Sudden breeze, trees make a racket
Day is awakened, night takes a bow.

Sun arises glistening peach gold
Bird chorus erupts in a welcome song
Quiet transformed to noise, loud and bold
Workers pounding; saws whining strong

Still nothing can disturb the peace I feel
Remembering the still awe of sunrise
Such beauty my God reveals
Everyday He creates a new surprise.

Dance on Golden Flowers

goldenflowers

Received this wonderful poem message from my God as I prayed and worshiped Him. May it bless you as much as it blessed me!

Walk in the green of the grass with Me
Dance on golden flowers
Look out at the spacious blue sea
Be with Me for hours and hours

My heart calls to the depth of your person
Into your soul I see
Come! Let us talk and reason
I have so much to share with thee

Observe! See the beauty of creation
Take time, share the moment with Me
I long for your quiet attention
And time when I’m all you need.

Stop for some rest and peace
Slow down so I can refresh you
Drink deeply from oceans of grace
Receive my gifts that renew you

Yes, dance on and on with Me
Never ever let Me go
How I love to bless you; see!
How I intensely love you so!
