We Give Thanks

It’s not thanksgiving for turkey
Or, mountains of delicious food
Nor is it thanks for football games,
Family, friends, or that which is good

The gratefulness expressed this day
Belongs One special place
He’s the truth, life, and the way
God full of glory and grace!

~*~

May your Thanksgiving be filled to overflowing with the love, peace and presence of God! In Jesus Name I pray, AMEN!

Thanksgiving

Love for one another
Time with friends and family
Hugging sister and brother
Remembering folks who are needy

Be thankful

praiseGod

In prayer I heard this poem…

Be thankful, My child
To Me you’re beautiful
Let’s talk for awhile
Your life is plentiful

Lift up praises
Let gratitude overflow
I’ve given Graces
Rejoice, don’t feel low

Effusively worship
Thanksgiving burst forth
Dance in My Courtship
Receive My comfort

Stop the complaining
How blessed you are!
Look, stop searching
I’m here; not far!

All you need
Deepest desires
Are found in Me
My love’s fires

Be thankful
Take time
Grateful, be grateful
You’re Mine; all Mine!

Missed My Garden!

Cherries

Oh, how I missed my garden!
The place of refreshing rest.
Of sitting in God’s arms open
Leaning against His breast.

Lovely warm breeze greets me
Sunshine cheers my soul.
Geraniums dancing sweetly.
Tree branches bowing low.

Stretched out, relaxed, yawning.
Serenade of sparrow and robin.
Crows and jays guffawing.
Butterfly gracefully flower hopping.

Faint sounds of children playing.
Such a joyous din.
So happy, so fulfilling
Can’t help but praise HIM!

Travel is fun, adventurous, rare
But, no matter where I roam,
Nothing compares to my garden chair
Where I meet with God alone!

Precious Day

My Garden

Precious day
Flowers bright
Pink nosegay
Violet delight

Hazy sky
Streaks of cloud
Bird up high
Chime tinkling loud

Breezy warmth
Sun breaks through
Butterfly charm
Bright yellow hue

Peace abounds
God’s presence near
Comforting sounds
Surround my garden chair

Hummingbird twitter
Buzzing bees
Mockingbird natter
Creaking trees

I praise You my God
Lifting hands to pray
Your goodness abounds
What a glorious day!

ALIVE!

Suffering, cold.
All seemed lost.
Calvary road.
Then the Cross.

The Blood.
Shed for me.
Total Love.
He took death for me.

Now He’s Risen!
He’s Alive!
Ascension!
At the Father’s Side!

The Blood!
The Blood of God’s own Son
Bought my way to Heaven.
Yes, Jesus is the ONE.

Mercy’s Waters

water-flowing

How blessed I am
Despite all circumstance,
Father God loves me intensely.
I am not here by happenstance!

Gratitude overwhelms my heart.
I have the Light which is Life.
Goodness and joy follow me.
Peace guards my mind; vanquishes strife.

Nothing of this world is my home.
I have heavenly manna to eat.
Blessings pour out to me daily.
He’s a bright lamp; guide to my feet.

My dwelling is around His throne
Praising Him with the Angels.
His Presence overwhelms the earth
Cares of this world fall like veils.

Love, such love ever bounding
It’s all that really matters.
Knowing Him is simply astounding,
His Grace and Mercy’s refreshing waters!

Grateful to God!

Grateful Joy_z

Grateful!
So very grateful.
Thanksgiving–
Joys of living.

Good times.
Hard times.
With me.
Always with me.

Grace!
His precious face.
Love.
Unconditional love.

Holds me.
Never fails me.
Holy sensation.
Appreciation.

My heart transformed.
Forever adored.
To Him give thanksgiving–
Get fullness of living!

Thanksgiving to Him

Thanksgiving-Brownscombe

Family gathering
Dining with friends
Thanksgiving beckons
Luscious treats and breads.

Table adorned
Finest plates and linen
Fragrant pumpkin and nutmeg
Turkey roasting in the oven.

Smiles and laughter
Deep in conversation
An argument or two
Football on television.

But why do we gather?
Is it only tradition,
A day off of work,
What is the reason?

The goodness of God
All His provision
Bowed heads and blessing
He is the reason.
