Autumn stepped out of summer
Pumpkins, squash, dried corn
Yellow leaves, red and orange
Windy blustery days
Walking through a corn maze
Flowers fading, some brown
Fields a golden crown
Trees once lush now bare
Sparrows don’t seem to care
Night comes too soon
Stunning harvest moon
Hazy morning sun
Piled leaves child’s fun
Autumn stepped out of summer
Dressed in colorful wonder
Fragrant with woody whiffs
One of God’s special gifts
